Lord Caitanya’s gift

What did Lord Chaitanya come to give? He appeared in this world to give – process of chanting the holy name but specifically suddha nama. And through suddha nama access to Vraja-prema that no other incarnation has ever offered before. He came to give that very special thing- Vraja Prema. Krishna-prema in the mood of residents of Vraja through the medium of chanting the holy name and to get access to holy name the suddha nama, the pure holy name, we need to access the mercy that He came to give and the teachings upon which Lord Chaitanya based what He taught as well as the delivery of holy name finds its root in Srimad Bhagavatam. He did not pull out something and said Hey! Here are some nice teachings! It’s rooted in Srimad Bhagavatam. His teachings are exposition of Srimad Bhagavatam, which is the commentary on Vedanta Sutra which is summation of all the Vedas. So, the Vedas also teach the same thing. But He made it readily available! So accessible that anybody, literally anybody can chant the holy name. Even if you cannot speak, you can chant in your mind. People sometimes ask what about people that are deaf? They can also hear… the soul can hear… it’s the spiritual ear.
