Atyahara and prajalpa are obstacles for bhakti.

Over accumulation of material stuff  inhibits or  disturbs Bhakti, and eating too much disturbs Bhakti. Eating too little is better than eating too much and its true because Srila Prabhupada said eat what is required and over eating is not good. There is another verse by Rupa Goswami in nectar of devotion that God realization is not easy, but is possible when one controls the senses starting with the tongue (jivha) śarīra abidyā-jāl, joḍendriya tāhe kāl, jīve phele viṣaya-sāgore. The most difficult of all is tongue, the body is a network of senses and it is very difficult to control and to overcome the most difficult is tongue but if one can control the tongue then one can control the other senses. An uncontrolled tongue is an obstacle. Too much talking, unnecessary talk prajalpa and over eating are  obstacles for Bhakti.
